Baa Atoll is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve known for manta rays and whale sharks at Hanifaru Bay. Rich coral reefs and vibrant island life make it a standout for both diving and cultural experiences. It features the seventh-largest coral reef system in the world, home to over 250 species of stony and soft corals. It’s host to the largest seasonal gathering of manta rays and whale sharks on Earth, as well as 1,200 reef-associated fish species, marine turtles (green and hawksbill), and dolphins.
